Dial A RIde

The highly acclaimed DACT Dial-a-Ride service is a FREE Shopping Bus service

every Tuesday & Friday for anyone aged 65 years and above.  This service is provided completely free of

charge to the users made possible by the kind sponsorship of Daventry Town Council.

Passengers benefit from a door-to-door service through the wonderful service

given by our amazing volunteer drivers.

Mrs P says “I have started coming on Dial a Ride;  what a big help it is to me with my arthritis

when the drivers help us with our bags and trolleys.  Some weeks it’s the only outing

I get and it’s given me  the chance to pal up with another lady who is also on her own”.

It is free to register to use the service by telephoning 01327  - 701665.

Once registered, passengers just need to call the same number a few

days in advance of the trip to book a pick-up.

We operate on three different routes around the Town and you will be advised of your route

when you register for this service.  The pick-up and return leave around 1.5 hours for you to complete

your shopping in the Town Centre or meet up with friends for a coffee, etc.

If Dial-a-Ride  passengers have a need for a DACT Mobility Scooter,

this can be collected from the DACT Mobility Scheme in New Street

(Tel: 01327 312555) where the Minibus drops passengers off.
